After careful deliberation and based on the feedback collected by OAs through various channels, the OA Council has selected the following goals to strive toward for the 2025-26 academic year. Goal 1: Compensation & Career Paths
Partner with university leadership to develop a clear, multi-year plan for scheduled pay increases for OAs, with a preference for COLA/ATB paired with merit and propose process refinements for merit-based increases. Encourage recognition of OA experience, longevity, and internal advancement. Enable OAs to effectively communicate the skills and expertise developed through their work at UO and to confidently advocate for career growth and promotional opportunities.
Goal 2: Professional Development & Flourishing
Promote the professional growth, engagement, and overall well-being of OAs at the University of Oregon. Facilitate access to professional development opportunities and resources that support both skill enhancement and career progression. Cultivate a sense of belonging by developing shared onboarding, mentoring, and networking resources, with particular attention to supporting remote or hybrid employees and connecting OAs to one another.
