Agenda is forthcoming.
UO Senate Chair Margie Paris has extended an open invitation to Officers of Administration encouraging us to attend UO Senate meetings.
The next UO Senate meeting is:
Wednesday, February 12
3:00pm to 5:00pm
Lawrence 115
Among the matters under consideration is a motion that will be brought to the floor of the Senate at a future meeting. The motion calls for open meetings of many university committees and for advance notice of committee meetings. Because the motion would change the way university committees have operated, we’ve created a two-step process for processing the motion: first a discussion in the February meeting and then a vote during a later meeting.
For more details, visit senate.uoregon.edu.
The Officers of Administration Council is holding a no-host social at Ninkasi Brewing Company on February 12th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at 272 Van Buren Street in Eugene.
Ninkasi will be offering tours of the brewery, too.
This is a great opportunity for OAs to meet outside of work to socialize and network. As the event is geared toward OAs, we encourage you to bring yourself and your fellow OAs.
Please RSVP for the event and the brewery tour.
The three candidates for the position of Senior Vice President and Provost position will be on campus for interviews the following dates:
Details on each candidate, as well as interview schedules, are available on the President’s website. Also see the position description and the Opportunities and Challenge Profile (PDF) for the position.
We encourage Officers of Administration to participate in this search as this a very important leadership role.
Interim Provost Scott Coltrane is conducting a series of meetings to discuss the university’s academic plan. OAs are encouraged to attend.
Each meeting topic will be presented twice to accommodate schedules.
All meetings are in Gerlinger Lounge. No RSVP needed.
You can contribute questions in advance of the meetings.
Background information is available at provost.uoregon.edu/content/academic-planning.
UO Board of Trustee meetings are mostly open, and OAs are invited to attend.
Upcoming Board of Trustee meetings are January 23 (8am-5pm) and January 24 (8am-11am) in the Giustina Ballroom of the Ford Alumni Center.
For more information on the Board of Trustees and their meeting schedule, see http://trustees.uoregon.edu/content/meetings-and-events.
