The Officers of Administration Council welcomes University of Oregon Police Department Chief of Police Matthew Carmichael and Human Resources Chief Human Resources Officer Nancy Resnick, to its monthly open meeting on Friday, December 16th, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in Columbia 150.

University of Oregon Police Chief Matthew Carmichael joined the UO in September, coming from the University of California, Davis, where he was the Chief of Police since 2011. He has more than 30 years’ experience in law enforcement. Chief Carmichael will share his enthusiastic and engaging vision for campus safety and policing, and ask OAs about their safety and security concerns, and listen to what they want from their campus police department.

As a follow-up on our jointly-hosted sessions this fall where we solicited your feedback on the proposed suite of OA-specific employment policies, CHRO Nancy Resnick will provide an update on the policy process timeline and lessons learned so far, with a few minutes afterwards for questions.
