Participate in Senior VP/Provost finalist interviews

The three candidates for the position of Senior Vice President and Provost position will be on campus for interviews the following dates:

  • Scott Coltrane (candidate #1): January 13–14
  • Jane Conoley (candidate #2): January 21–22
  • Candidate #3: February 3-4

We encourage Officers of Administration to participate in this search as this a very important leadership role.

Academic Planning Discussions

Interim Provost Scott Coltrane is conducting a series of meetings to discuss the university’s academic plan. OAs are encouraged to attend.

Each meeting topic will be presented twice to accommodate schedules.

  • December 10, 12:00 – 1:30 pm on Benchmarks and Metrics
  • January 14, 9:00 – 10:30 am on Benchmarks and Metrics
  • January 30, 3:00 – 4:30 pm on Setting Priorities
  • February 14, 8:30 – 10:00 am on Setting Priorities
  • February 28, 8:30 – 10:00 am on Implementation Strategies
  • March 18, 1:00 – 2:30 pm on Implementation Strategies

All meetings are in Gerlinger Lounge. No RSVP needed.

UO Board of Trustee meetings are mostly open, and OAs are invited to attend.

Upcoming Board of Trustee meetings are January 23 (8am-5pm) and January 24 (8am-11am) in the Giustina Ballroom of the Ford Alumni Center.

The University of Oregon is conducting a search for the position of University Ombudsperson. Each candidate will give a public presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period and reception. All faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend the candidates’ public presentations.

Please join us to share your thoughts on professional growth opportunities, thoughts and concerns about changes in University leadership and governance, opportunities to participate in shared governance, and issues you would like the OA Council to focus on.

Officers of Administration Annual Meeting

Join the OA Council for the OA Annual Meeting on October 10, 2013 from 10:30am to 12:00 noon in the EMU Ballroom.

The OAC will provide updates on our recent activities and information about plans for this year. The meeting will include guest speakers from our University leadership: Vice President Jamie Moffit (Vice President for Finance and Administration) and Law Professor Margie Paris (UO Senate President). There also will be opportunities for you to ask questions.

NOTE: President Gottfredson was scheduled to present at this meeting. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, he will not be able to attend.

From 10:00 to 10:30 we will provide beverages and snacks as you socialize with colleagues. The program will begin promptly at 10:30am.
