The Officers of Administration Council welcomes University of Oregon Police Department Chief of Police Matthew Carmichael and Human Resources Director of Talent Acquisition Nancy Nieraeth, to its monthly open meeting on Friday, January 20th, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in Columbia 150.

University of Oregon Police Chief Matthew Carmichael joined the UO in September, coming from the University of California, Davis, where he was the Chief of Police since 2011. He has more than 30 years’ experience in law enforcement. Chief Carmichael will share his enthusiastic and engaging vision for campus safety and policing, and ask OAs about their safety and security concerns, and listen to what they want from their campus police department.

Nancy Nieraeth has been the Director of Talent Acquisition in Human Resources since September 2015. She will speak on the University’s recent transition to the MyTrack talent management system for recruitment management, and corresponding changes to OA position and pay actions practices.
